Teachers getting told to max their 403(b) without anyone modeling the DROP decision first. Officers approaching retirement with a meaningful pension and no idea how the payout option election would affect their spouse. Firefighters with 25 years of Special Risk service being handed a generic retirement brochure.

Benowitz Wealth Management was his answer. He built the firm around three quiet ideas: know the FRS system deeply; explain it in plain English; and never let a product conversation get in the way of a planning conversation.
